Update C&P to Salesforce Connection

Sometimes it becomes necissary to update the connection between Click and Pledge and Salesforce.  This can be because of staffing changes or if you need to have a different user's credentials creating the objects in Salesforce.

Go to Salesforce Setup

Go to Company Information

Go to Company Information

Copy the SF Organization ID

Additionally take note of your Salesforce instance url.  It'll be in your browser's address bar.  It'll be something like https://na23.salesforce.com except the instance number may change.

 

Log into the C&P Portal

Log into the C&P Portal

Log into the Click and Pledge Portal at https://portal.clickandpledge.com

Navigate to the Salesforce Integration Settings

Navigate to the Salesforce Integration Settings

Enter the Organization ID

Enter the Organization ID

Enter the Organization ID in the field and your salesforce instance address.  Then click Verify.

Grant oAuth access to Click and Pledge

Grant oAuth access to Click and Pledge

Click and Pledge uses oAuth to maintain the connection, so you don't have to worry about updating the password or security token.  As long as the user in SF is active and doesn't revoke the access the connection should stay online.

Enable the Posting of data to Salesforce

Enable the Posting of data to Salesforce

Check the Enable checkbox, and we HIGHLY recommend that you enter an email address on the Error notification List field.   Then just press Update and then you're all set.
