Correcting Errors in C&P Data

If there's an error in processing the data passed from Click & Pledge to Salesforce it will be indicated in the C&P Data entries.  Here's how you can re-create the C&P Data and cause the transaction process to re-fire

Go to the C&P Data tab in the C&P Payment as a Service app in Salesforce.

Select the Error view.

Select the Error view.

This will show only the C&P Data entries that came across with a Staus Id of 0.

So first we select the Transaction Number of the one we want to fix. And then copy that transaction number.

Then we do a search on it using the Salesforce Search at the top of the page.

This will result in something like this.  

Notice how we can't delete the transaction from the list view? We have to click into it and delete the related custom questions first.

Now we have the transaction open... so Scroll down

and at the bottom you'll see the Related custom questions

Next we need to delete the transaction for the bad data so we can create a new one.

The only place where we can easily delete the bad transaction itself, is on the list view.   So go to the C&P Transactions tab, and select the ALL list and press Go!

Finding the offending order can be a bit troublesome, but you can use the column headers at the top to sort by any column, so if you click the order number then the most recent or oldest gifts will be at the top.  You can also (like any other list view) add columns to the page, such as Created Date or Transaction Date and then sort the list on those.

Now back in our C&P Data we want to click the C&P Data name (confusingly called Transaction-XXXX)

Now Clone the C&P Data Entry.

Empty out the fields indicated below and then press Save.

After saving you'll be looking at the new CP data object, and if you scroll down  you'll see the new Status and Message

You can also search on the transaction number again and it will show you the new Transaction, and it will link to any temporary contacts, opportunites etc.

NOTE:  It can take a minute or two before the transaction is created.

Last (but not least) you can go back and delete the failed Data entry
