Troubleshooting Sends from the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connector

If the Send shown in Salesforce lists the error as "The email used for this send is not valid. " this means that there was a problem with merging the two pieces of data.  Here's how to find the problem.

Verify the email against the DataConnector in MC

First Go to the Marketing Cloud and select your email and then press the 'Validate' option

Then Select the SF Data from the Send

Then Select the SF Data from the Send

Select the data extension that is the the send from your salesforce instance and then press Validate.  

The next page will show you a list of all the errors that are preventing the mail from being sent.   Most likely it's a Merge Field that's spelled improperly or not present in the sent data.
